- “Ready. Set. Race!”
- – SuperChargers Racing tagline
Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing is a racing combat counterpart of the platformer/racing Skylanders: SuperChargers.
Details
Fans can augment their SuperCharger experience with a complementary, dedicated racing combat game -- Skylanders SuperChargers Racing -- for the Wii™ system and Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system. All-new tracks, augmented with power-ups, boosts, hazards and more, offer up to 50 different and exciting gameplay experiences. On Nintendo 3DS, gamers can go head-to-head with competitive multiplayer via local play or online with up to four players. Iconic Nintendo character Bowser™ and his Sky vehicle, Clown Cruiser are available in the Skylanders SuperChargers Racing Starter Packs for Wii and Nintendo 3DS and can also be played on the Wii U™ system. The Supercharged character not only works in Skylanders SuperChargers Racing, but also as Amiibo in compatible Nintendo games, so players can store their saved data in both modes with a simple twist of the figure’s base.

Trivia
- This is the only Skylander game to not have any NPC exclusive to the 3DS.
- This is the only 3DS installment to feature Kaos.
- This is the only time a 3DS Skylanders game has been ported to a home console.
- Unlike the original SuperChargers game, Spellslamzer, Dragon Hunter, and Lord Stratosfear are absent and are replaced with The Gulper, Dr. Krankcase, and Pain-Yatta.
- Tropic Plunder is available as the first sea track in the game, instead of being unlocked using the Sea Trophy like in the original game. That role is instead given to Risky Rapids.
- The SuperCharger Skylanders banter with each other when getting attacked by the player/fellow Skylanders during the races.
- As a pun on the time trial/ghost mode of other racing games, the player races against an actual ghost to earn the best time.
- Unlike previous Skylander games on the 3DS, the home screen icon features an NPC (Pandergast) instead of one of the Skylanders featured in the Starter Pack (those that were featured on previous game icons were Dark Spyro for Spyro's Adventure, Tree Rex for Giants, Free Ranger for Swap Force and Gusto for Trap Team).
- Despite the Skylanders being the ones to compete in the races, the Snow Globe of Destiny was to be given to the Portal Master but instead was handed to Flynn on their behalf since the Portal Master isn't in Skylands.
- Ironically, this would be the only time in the entire game that their presence is mentioned.
- The Wii version is the only Skylanders game in the series that lacks any form of in-game collection that keeps track of all the Skylanders summoned.
- At one point in development, rather than focusing specifically on racing, the game would have instead been a sub-series of games centered around different vehicle activities.[1]
