A unique green and turquoise butterfly is encountered in the Trial of Valor: Catch area of ''[[The Oracle]]''. This butterfly steals a key required to progress and flies away, leaving behind damaging fire trails in its path. Once the Skylander makes contact with the key it was carrying, the butterfly vanishes.
Butterflies can act as health source in some occasions.
[[Sparx the Dragonfly]] can turn Enemies into Butterflies when defeated by his fireballs. The Butterflies heal the Skylander by 3 health points when collected, by either Sparx or by the Skylander. [[Thrillipede]] can create Butterflies with his [[Soul Gem]] ability ''Beautiflies'', these heal up Thrillipede and other [[Skylander]]s by 70 when collected.

Butterflies are insects seen flying around in various levels in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants. They appear in three color variations: blue and orange, pink and green, and light blue and dark blue.

A unique green and turquoise butterfly is encountered in the Trial of Valor: Catch area of The Oracle. This butterfly steals a key required to progress and flies away, leaving behind damaging fire trails in its path.
