Battle Classes are weapon wielding classifications in Skylanders: Imaginators. Applying to both Senseis and Imaginators, they denote the character's weapon class and, for the latter, three out of four abilities - their regular primary attack, their secret technique and tertiary attack, and their Soul Gem, found in the story levels like all others. To change an Imaginator's Battle Class, the Creation Crystal must be reset.

For both, many are based in real-life weapons with a fantasy twist, and common RPG classes as seen by the names of some in early versions.

List of Battle Classes

Brawler

These characters are a melee class, focusing on using their fists at great speeds - though they may not use noteworthy weapons, they are associated with brass knuckles, gloves and gauntlets. Secret Techniques for Imaginators include various close combat moves such as uppercuts.

  • King Pen
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Imaginator Primary Attacks:
    • Boxer - Press the primary attack four times to quickly jab and uppercut your enemies.
    • Bruiser - Press the primary attack three times to hammer your enemies with powerful blows.

Sorcerer

Characters from this class specialize in ranged moves based on their magical abilities, though area-of-effect abilities are also shown. They are associated with wands and staves of various sizes. Secret Techniques for Imaginators are currently unknown.

Smasher

These characters use their large weapons to attack foes at close range. Their weapons of choice are bludgeoning weapons such as hatchets, maces and many others. Secret Techniques include abilities to increase their range such as belly flops. In ealier versions of the game, this class was known as Barbarian.

Bowslinger

Bowslingers use ranged abilities from their bows and arrows, compensating damage for distance. Secret Techniques include different angles and distribution of arrow shots, and the Imaginator Soul Gem is a volley of arrows shot at the sky for a large area of effect. In earlier versions of the game, this class was known as Archer.

  • Wolfgang
  • Imaginator Primary Attacks:
    • Long Shot - Press the primary attack button to fling arrows at your enemies.
    • Multi Shot - Press the primary attack button to fire a spread of three arrows.

Knight

Characters from this class use their slashing weapons in close range, and as such are associated with various types of swords. Secret Techniques include different ways of stabbing enemies for different range and area of effect.

  • Ambush
  • Imaginator Primary Attacks:
    • Paladin - Press the primary attack button to rapidly slash foes with your sword.
    • Slasher - Press the primary attack button to slash foes around you with powerful swings.

Quickshots

These characters are like Bowslingers in which they use projectile weapons for distance, however, they double wield more automatic weaponry, such as firearms.

Sentinel

Sentinels use large staves and polearms with blades or blunt weaponry on both ends for mid-ranged combat, with a large focus on well-planned spins against their enemies. Secret Techniques for Imaginators include crowd control abilties such as spinning into enemies or controlling them in a hypnotic manner.  In ealier versions of the game, this class was known as Dervish.

  • Ember
  • Hood Sickle
  • Barbella
  • Imaginator Primary Attacks:
    • Buster - Press the primary attack button to swipe enemies around you with your staff.
    • Acrobat - Press the primary attack button to focus your attack on enemies in front of you.

Ninja

Ninjas are a ranged class whose projectiles are thrown with their hands rather than from weapons, such as shurikens.

Bazooker

Characters from this class use large cannons, bazookas and similar heavy projectile weapons, trading their speed for great damage.

Swashbuckler

Taking inspiration from Ninjini, these characters double-wield their blades for a graceful, but quick fighting style. In ealier versions of the game, this class was known as Djinni, the original name for genies.
