Mods are collectible vehicle parts in Skylanders: SuperChargers. They are a primary way to customize vehicles, altering their appearance and slightly modifying their stats. Mods are found in red toolboxes that are hidden in the Vehicle areas of each chapter and can also be earned through completing Races. A special set of mods is also unlocked the first time that vehicle is Supercharged.

Note

Only a SuperCharge-capable Skylander is allowed to change Mods on a vehicle, even it is not it's Signature Vehicle.

Issues

Sometimes it can happen, that a mod cannot be selected, although it is collected and appears in the "Blueprints". To solve this, the player has to claim the "Ownership" of the vehicle and reload it by removing and placing it back on the Portal. After that, the mods can be freely changed again.
This issue always happens, when a Vehicle was used in SuperChargers Racing before and is used in SuperChargers again.
SuperChargers Racing seems to "auto-claim" Skylanders and Vehicles.

It's unclear, if this can also happen, when used on both games on the same platform or is just restricted to cross-platform gaming.

Trivia

  • In SuperChargers, each vehicle has a total of twelve mods (including the horn sounds). In Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing, there are only four mods for each vehicle.
