Sky Island is a location in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes. It is the base of operation of the Earth Portal Masters in the Shattered Islands, and a safe area where they and the Skylanders they summoned can rest and organize arena battles. It also contains the Dimensional Gate that leads to the Distorted Dimension, and a new section of Skylanders Academy.
