Breezewing is a placeholder name for the scrapped Air Skylander character.

Character Development

This character's existence dates back to 2011 during the development of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure but she never made it into the game itself. She was later considered for Skylanders: ShapeShifters by Vicarious Visions, being paired with fellow scrapped Skylanders Krayken and Aftershock. Her attacks involved blowing wind, slashing with her claws and throwing her boomerang tail. When ShapeShifters eventually became Skylanders: Swap Force, Breezewing didn't make it into the final game. Instead her wind blow attack was used for Boom Jet, her claws were used for Free Ranger's slash blades and her boomerang tail ended up being an upgrade for Rattle Shake's snake shot.[1]

Breezewing would later make small cameos later in the Skylanders series.

Trivia

  • Though she's referred to and shown alongside other named scrapped Skylanders from Spyro's Adventure and Swap Force development, oddly, her name is never revealed. She is simply referred to as an Air Skylander or a work-in-progress Vicarious Visions design.
    • In an early Wii build of Skylanders: Swap Force, this character has files referring to it as "Breezewing".
