The Skull Mask of the Philosopher King Mortalannis, First Lord of the Undead is a component of the Core of Light featured in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. It is used as a receptacle to contain the power of the Eternal Undead Source.
Story
Following the destruction of the Core of Light, the Skull Mask was located in the Underworld at the Crawling Catacombs. Guided by T-Bone, the Skylanders battle through hordes of spiders and manage to reclaim the mask.
Once the Skull Mask is returned to the Ruins, it is placed in the center of the core, which awakens Undead spirits beneath the underground level of the core.

- Hex's Series 2 Wow Pow 'Skull Buddy' spawns a floating skull head with an identical look to the Skull Mask, only with red eyes instead of blue.
