The Tech Guardian was a scrapped character for Skylanders: Swap Force. Not much is known about him, but he appears to have been an early version of Evil Glumshanks, a Troll corrupted by the Petrified Darkness.[1] He originally would have appeared within a force field in Rampant Ruins, where the Skylanders would have to confront him with the help of the Stone Monkey in a battle similar to that of Evil Glumshanks'.[2]
In the alpha version of Swap Force, the Tech Guardian speaks with a high-pitched voice and has a full complement of voicelines (some of which were reused by Evil Glumshanks). According to Tessa, the Tech Guardian has the ability to talk to and control any type of machine.[2]
