Minions are dark versions of known Skylander characters. They are used by Kaos in final battles, when Portal Masters must collect specific Eternal Sources. There are three at each battle. All are seen one last time at the final battle in the level, Lair of Kaos. The attacks and blocks used by Minions are the same (chosen few) abilities that their Skylander counterparts have.
Some Minions reappear in Skylanders Giants in ambushes on certain levels such as Evil Ninja Minion, Evil Phoenix Dragon and Evil Knight Minion or in The Oracle: Octavius's challenge's such as Evil Water Dragon and Evil Eruptor.
