Skylanders: Universe, originally called Skylanders: Spyro's Universe, is a online web-based game. On April 29th, Skylanders: Universe will be replaced with a "new online experience". Players can now play the game without purchasing any Skylanders merchandise, as the game will provide them one out of three characters (Spyro, Trigger Happy, and Gill Grunt) if they do not have a Skylander of their own.
Webcodes can be found packaged with the figures, and can also be accessed inside of the webgame.
To get bigger a Skylands, players must get figurines and to get nicely priced discounts on renting Skylanders.
