Hugo is a loveable sheep hating creature. Hugo helps you through most of the game and helps you find the pieces (Did I spell that right? O.o) of the Core of Light. His species has no name but he is the same species as Flynn, Cali, and possibly Trigger Happy. Though Trigger Happy is a gremlin and Hugo has a very little comparision to a gremlin.
Hugo is one of the main supporting characters and Master Eon's assistant in the console versions of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Using the Far-Viewer, he helps the Skylanders by finding out what the they need to collect in order to repair the Core of Light.
