Woodpeckers are birds found throughout Skylands. One first appears in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure in the Battle Arena Pirate Grotto, where it can be seen perched on a crate in the middle of the arena.
More notably, Tree Rex's and Barkley's Soul Gem ability grants them a Woodpecker companion that assists in battle by attacking enemies.
