Butterflies are insects seen flying around in various levels in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants. They appear in three color variations: blue and orange, pink and green, and light blue and dark blue. Enemies can be turned into Butterflies by Sparx the Dragonfly, which heal the Skylander by 3 health points when collected by either Sparx or eaten by the Skylander.

- They are not present, flying around in the areas in the XPEC version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.
- Enemies can still be turned into Butterflies by Sparx.
