Appears in: Skylanders: Trap Team

The Traptanium Portal is a new version of the Portal of Power for the new game, Skylanders: Trap Team. It has a completely different design compared with the first and second ones. The Traptanium Portal has color-changing rims, a trap slot for the crystals to slide in, and a built-in speaker for unique voices of captured villains where the Villain Vault is located.

Villiian Vault

The Villain Vault is a feature currently exclusive for Skylanders: Trap Team. It allows you to capture bosses once you defeat them. To catch a villian, one must simply place a trap on the hole above the Villan Vault after defeating the boss. The boss will then be captured and placed in the trap, while complaining about its new jail cell. Now you can use the boss as a Skylander! Simply place the trap again and you can play as  boss. There will be an option where you can abort the capturing process and the villian will not be captured you can read more about this at Traps.

How to Use

It is very similar to the way you use a Portal of Power; simply place the toy in the center of the Portal and instantly the character will appear in-game. The only difference is the addition of traps, which allow you to capture in-game enemies.

Trivia

  • The new portal is unique compared to the other two: the Traptanium Portal appears to be made of Traptanium and has a slot for traps. It also has a built in speaker.
  • The symbol of the Shattering Sigil is embedded on the lower part of the cage.
