Skylanders Academy is an upcoming French computer-animated television series based on the Skylanders franchise. It will serve as Activision Blizzard Studios' first animated production with Futurama writer Eric Rogers overseeing the creation of the series, which is set to debut in Fall 2016.[1]
The television series is canon to the franchise, but is separate from the storyline of the games with original content.[2][3] TV writer, Eric Rogers, metioned the series is a mixture of "Gravity Falls" and "Futurama".[4] Two seasons are planned, each with 13 episodes.
Summary
The series follows the heroic adventures of the Skylanders team, a group of heroes with unique elemental skills and personalities who travel the vast Skylands universe, protecting it from evil-doers and showing the next wave of Academy cadets how to do things the "Skylander way."

Production
As part of a two season, 26 episode partnership, Activision Blizzard Studios announced that Skylanders Academy will air on Netflix.[5]
