*You'd think that, but in all six games, iirc only Gill Grunt's challenge even implies that an NPC race is at the risk of being eaten specifically. Every other occasion of Mabu being harassed is because villains being evil, or they're guarding an important thing, or they were the easiest thing to intimidate - I think sometimes the Skylander themselves is threatened, but then it's different trivia. In contrast, a lot of people pointed out that Academy's second season has an odd amount of attention given to villains eating Mabu specifically.
