Description of Bag O' Booms

Bag O' Booms are sturdy, light-green Cyclopses in Skylanders: Giants that attack by hurling Bombs at the Skylanders. If their bombs miss, they turn into regular bombs that Skylanders can pick up and use. They are often positioned on elevated ground, requiring Skylanders to throw the bomb back at them in order to defeat them.

They also appear in Empire of Ice, where they throw snowballs instead of bombs, similar to the Chuckers from Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.

In the Nintendo 3DS version, Bag O' Booms throw dynamite sticks instead of Bombs, which cannot be picked up by the Skylander.

Trivia

  • In Aerial Attack!, defeating the Bag O’ Booms near the cannons you are required to destroy will cause another ghost ship to spawn and drop off another Bag ‘O’ Boom to prevent a soft lock due to no bombs being available to destroy the cannons other than the ones they throw. You can keep defeating these Bag ‘O’ Booms over and over again, and they will keep being dropped off, allowing for a simple, though inefficient, infinite XP exploit.
  • In Empire of Ice in Skylanders: Giants, they serve as replacements for the Chuckers.
  • In their Skystone, Bag O' Booms have bluish white fur on their chins (though in game they don't have beards).
  • Unlike in the console version where the Bombs and Snowballs are seen in their hands, when they pull out a stick dynamite in the 3DS version, the dynamite is not in their hands and appears after being thrown.
  • The Bag O' Booms in the 3DS version use their design from the alpha of the console version and have smaller pupils.
  • In alpha versions of Giants, and in many Heroic Challenges, Bag O' Booms appear covered in bluish fur. However, their standard counterparts are hairless, for reasons unknowns.
  • Bag O' Booms' early description was "BOOM! For real."[1]
