Empire of Ice is an Adventure Pack in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure that comes with a new chapter, two magical items, four stickers, four trading cards and the Skylander, Slam Bam. In the console versions, Haldor, the Great Northern Wizard, seeks the Skylanders to help him save his village of Vindlevale from the Ice Ogres, who have turned the village into an icy wasteland by blocking out the sun using a giant ice wall they built.
Description
Empire of Ice is a frozen winterland colonized by Ice Ogres. As the only level in Spyro's Adventure themed around ice, it includes wide stretches of slippery ground, several ice mazes, and a unique breed of frozen blue cacti. Snowflakes drift down from the level's partially cloudy blue sky.
History
According to a Story Scroll, stories are still built around the greatest catapult ever built: The Leveler, which has defended the warm valley of Vindlevale for centuries. Without the Leveler, there is little chance that Vindlevale could defend itself against the cold-loving armies of the Ice Ogres and Snowclops that dwell nearby.

Magic Items
The adventure pack comes with two magic items. To use an item, simply place it on the Portal of Power in the same way you would a Skylander. Only one Magic Item can be active at the same time. Empire of Ice unlocks the chapter, Sky-Iron Shield gives you a stronger defense, and Anvil Rain can be used to drop anvils.
- Empire of Ice - Causes ice shards to rain from the sky and a big shock wave dealing great damage to enemies.
- Sky-Iron Shield - Enhances your characters' defense.
- Anvil Rain - Causes anvils to rain from the sky and damage enemies

Lost Islands
In Skylanders: Lost Islands, Empire of Ice is one of the locations to which Skylanders can adventure. It is unlocked for all Skylanders of Hero Rank 7 and above, and Adventures there take ten hours and 2,100 Energy, rewarding 1,200 Hero Points and 8,100 Gold.

Trivia
- The top of the Location Piece's figure has the shape of an Ice Ogre's head.
- When destroying the cannons on the wall at the end of the level, you will occasionally see one or two Rocket Imps, fly from the wall.
- Although this was the third Adventure Pack to be released, it was listed ingame as the first chapter of all Adventure Packs.
- In the Xbox 360 version of Skylanders: Giants, the Cyclops enemies in Empire of Ice drop no EXP when killed.
- In the 3DS version, this level uses assets from Arkeyan Armory.
- Until the Gryphon Park Observatory, this was the only Adventure Pack not to feature a leading antagonist in the console versions.
- This is the only Adventure Pack from Spyro's Adventure whose soundtrack is not a remix of any soundtrack from the main chapters.
- Empire of Ice contains some Woodpeckers perched on its snowbanks, which are identical to Tree Rex's Woodpecker Pal.
- In this chapter in Giants, Bag O' Booms throw snowballs instead of bombs similar to Chuckers.
