Skitterbooms, also known as Spider Swarmers, are tiny, lethal spiders in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, first encountered in the Crawling Catacombs. They attack in swarms, speed-rushing nearby Skylanders before glowing red and exploding into a damaging green cloud. They spawn from Spider Spitters and defeated Gargantulas.

In Skylanders: Giants, they are replaced with Spiderlings, which share the same appearance and attack pattern.

Trivia

• In the Wii version of Spyro's Adventure, Skitterbooms are referred to by their original names. While in the XPEC console ports (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC), they are named Spider Swarmers (this name is used on Topps trading cards and the Official Strategy Guide for Spyro's Adventure).
• In some of the alphas of Giants, Spiderlings were originally called by their XPEC name Spider Swarmers.
