Chapter Subtitle

Cadaverous Crypt is the sixteenth chapter in the console version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Here, the Skylanders visit to retrieve the Skeleton Key, which is needed to enter the Creepy Citadel to find the Eternal Undead Source.

Description

Cadaverous Crypt is, as its name would suggest, a musty stone crypt. Spiked coffins, movable candlesticks, ram-skull gates, and bone decorations line its gloomy hallways. Much like Crawling Catacombs, Cadaverous Crypt is positioned above a subterranean lake and takes place entirely underground.

Story

Once again descending the Underworld's skeletal steps, the Skylanders and T-Bone arrive at the crypt that is said to contain the Skeleton Key. T-Bone promises not to run out on the Skylanders like last time, only to end up separated by a large barrier that rises between them. The Skylanders venture on alone, battling different Undead forces such as the Rotting Robbies, who can only be hurt by fire or with a cannon. After defeating a final gauntlet of Undead forces, the Skylanders discover the hidden Skeleton Key. The Skylanders return to T-Bone, who comments that they will now be able to open the gate to the Creepy Citadel before comically attaching his own head to the key.
