Fairies are one of the many notable species in Skylands. They have been friends with the Skylanders for as long as anyone can remember. This is possibly because fairies can turn treasure into upgrade magic that grant the Skylanders new abilities, powers, and also fresh breath. Many fairies live in the remote Ancient Woods.
Abilities
Fairies can grant upgrade magic to Skylanders in exchange for treasure. In Return of the Dragon King, the reverse was demonstrated as Calliope can remove a Skylander's upgrades and bestow that ability upon a crystal.

Trivia
- Fairies might be believed by some to be greedy, as in Spell Punk Library, Pomfrey remarks in a disapproving tone that they'll only accept "cold, hard cash" to help the Skylanders.
- Persephone is the only known fairy to have trouble speaking in English, as she is used to speaking the Fairy language and, unlike the others, stays in her kingdom most of the time.
- Three known fairies are named after Greek mythological figures, those being Persephone (Hades' wife), Calliope (one of the Muses), and Aura (a minor deity).
