- “Retrieve the Eternal Life Source before the Trolls do.”
- – Chapter Subtitle
Falling Forest is the eleventh chapter in the console version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Here, the Trolls are cutting down the ancient trees in order to find the Eternal Life Source under Kaos's orders, and it's up to the Skylanders to stop them before they can claim it.
Description
Falling Forest is a night-themed version of Treetop Terrace. This level takes place in a forest of immense trees, which are strung with glowing lights and populated by yellow-eyed owls. Several animal calls can be heard in the level's background.
Story
Upon discovering that the Eternal Life Source is hidden inside a giant acorn within the Tree of Life, Kaos sends his lumberjack Trolls to cut down all of the trees in the forest in order to claim the Eternal Source. Arbo and the Skylanders arrive to the sight of the Trolls using giant chainsaws to destroy the ancient trees, and the Skylanders set off to confront the Trolls. The Skylanders battle through the army of Trolls, while also using readily available rockets to disable the giant chainsaws. Soon, the Skylanders arrive at the Great Stump and finds the acorn, which reveals the Eternal Life Source within it.
Unfortunately, before the Skylanders can claim the Eternal Source, they are once again faced with the hologram of Kaos, who forces the Skylanders to battle three more minions: The Evil Missile Minion, the Evil Ninja Minion, and the Evil Ent Minion. The Skylanders fight the minions while Kaos uses the Eternal Life Source to attack with red snails and green orbs of energy. After the Skylanders beat the minions all at once and survive Kaos' "unbeatable" Life spells, Kaos begrudgingly surrenders once again and vanishes, allowing the Skylanders to finally claim the Eternal Life Source and make it halfway through repairing the Core of Light.

Trivia
- Falling Forest is the first level in the Skylanders franchise to not introduce any new minor enemies, although it does introduce three new bosses.
- In the Nintendo Wii version of Spyro's Adventure, it takes five rockets to destroy the giant chainsaws, while in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, it take six rockets.
- Additionally, Skylanders are able to destroy the chainsaws without rockets in the PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360, and there's an Achievement / Trophy earned by doing so.
- In the Wii version of Spyro's Adventure, the entrance to the Great Stump is blocked by mushrooms used in Zook's upgraded barrier.
- In the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Spyro's Adventure, the Eternal Life Source has a tiny acorn within it instead of green leaves.
- On Know-It-All Island in Skylanders: Trap Team, the Enchanted Forest area within the Life Traptanium Gate bears the same level design as Falling Forest. It may be possible proof that the two areas exist in the same general area.
