Chapter Subtitle

Leviathan Lagoon is the seventh chapter in the console version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. The lagoon is named after a large Leviathan that resides in the waters, where it will swallow Skylanders whole if it catches them in the water. It is here that the Skylanders go to retrieve the Eternal Water Source while fighting off the threat of pirates and the residual Leviathan.

Description

Leviathan Lagoon is a tropical archipelago whose clear waters reveal a coral reef. Wooden bridges connect its scattered, palm-decorated islands. The level's sky embraces a vibrant theme with pink, yellow, and white-tinged clouds.

Story

The Skylanders and Gurglefin arrive at the lagoon, which is completely swarmed by pirates. Like the Skylanders, the pirates are searching for four statues located across the islands. When all four statues are placed in a special shrine, the Eternal Water Source will reveal itself. The Skylanders battle pirates and thieving Hob 'n' Yaros to reclaim the statues, while avoiding being eaten by the lagoon's namesake Leviathan. After collecting three of the statues, Gurglefin discovers that the pirates have taken the final statue and are attempting to escape on their giant frigate. Using a turret, the Skylanders disable the ship by destroying its masts and claim the final statue. Arriving at the shrine and placing all four statues, the Eternal Water Source is revealed. However, as the Skylanders approach the Eternal Source, the Leviathan destroys the bridge beneath them and swallows them whole.

The Skylanders land in the stomach of the Leviathan, where they are greeted by the giant floating head hologram of Kaos. Determined to claim the Eternal Water Source, Kaos forces the Skylanders to battle his evil Minions: The Evil Water Dragon, the Evil Amphibious Gillman, and the Evil Ice Yeti. The Skylanders battle the minions one-on-one while surviving waves of Doom Sharks summoned by Kaos. After the Skylanders manage to defeat all three minions at once, Kaos surrenders the Eternal Water Source to them before his hologram disappears. Claiming the Eternal Source, the Skylanders are transported out of the Leviathan's stomach and back to the Ruins.
