- – Game description
Frigid Chompies are a variant of the Chompies in Skylanders: Giants. They first appear in Glacier Gully. Instead of biting like regular Chompies, they will run up to the Skylanders and will jump into the air while unleashing their freezing attack which will encase the Skylanders in a ice prison similar to Frozen Fiends.
Other game appearances.
Skylanders: Battlecast
Frigid Chompies plague the Water Realm in Skylanders: Battlecast. They can use their freezing breath to weaken their enemies, and heal Chompy allies.

Trivia
- Frigid Chompies are very similar in appearence to Crunchers, having the same light blue coloration
- There is a Chompy variant in the 3DS version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure called Frost Chompies, which use a similar color but attack the same way as a regular Chompy does. (However, most Chompies in the game already appear blue and there are some large Frost Chompies that will roll snowballs down, similar to how Timidclopses roll barrels.)
- Frigid Chompies in Giants have teal skin. However, in Battlecast, they are light blue.
- In alpha versions of Giants, Frigid Chompies appear asleep in various parts of Glacier Gully. Their early descriptions include "Freezing breath will stop you in your tracks" and "Beware his frozen nips."[1]
- Erroneously, Shore Feels Good is designed as an Undead spell instead of a Water character spell, and can be used by Frigid Chompies even without an Undead character in the party. The reason for this mistake is unknown, and this error was kept until the game's shutdown.
