Chompies are small enemies that bite your Skylanders. They are easy to beat but can come in large numbers and can be produced by Chompy Pods.
Basic green Chompies cause 11 damage, have an HP level of 1, and earn you 1 XP. Chompies are first seen in Chapter 1: Shattered Island.
Teal Chompies, called Crunchers, cause 16 damage, have an HP level of 1, and earn you 4 XP. Crunchers are first seen in Chapter 8: Crystal Eye Castle.
Chompies appear in nearly every level and are also in many Heroic Challenges. Most notably, Stump Smash's challenge, Mission Achomplished; Terrafin's challenge, Spawner Cave; and Drobot's challenge, Save the Purple Chompies.
