Trivia

  • They are mentioned in Rip Tide's backstory, where it is stated they were sent by Kaos, confirming that some of them work for Kaos.
  • They share their models, behavior, and pirate gibberish (sans their crab-claws and squid-faces) with Captain K9s, but in Skylanders: Giants, the sounds of Captain K9s were changed from the Squidface Brute's gibberish to new sound affects.
  • They speak in pirate like voices consisting of gibberish.
  • The Squidface Brutes in Leviathan Lagoon are noticeably larger than the ones in Dark Water Cove.
  • They are one of several enemies in the game who use their hurt animation upon being defeated, rather than a special defeated animation, like most enemies do.
