The Phantom Tide is the name of the most fearsome pirate ship in all of Skylands. Although mentioned in Thumpback's backstory, it makes a full appearance in the Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders: Giants when The Phantom Tide's captain, Frightbeard, plotted to release his pirate fleet from the Chest of Exile. Due to its massive size, the Phantom Tide has the ability to swallow entire islands whole and strip them bare of their resources.

In Skylanders: SuperChargers, The Phantom Tide gains a race-able counterpart called The Lil' Phantom Tide.
