Troll Dogs are enemies that appear in the 3DS versions of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, Skylanders: Giants, and Skylanders: Swap Force. They are used by the Trolls to sniff out intruders and attack them on sight.
In Skylanders: Universe, they are part of the enemies fought in Ground Defense from wave 3 on.
