Buzz Saw
Role: Hazard
World: Crawling Catacombs
Creepy Citadel
Kaos' Kastle
Molekin Mountain
Appears in: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure
Skylanders: Giants (Console)

Buzz Saws are obstacles found in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants.

There are two distinct variations of Buzz Saw hazards across the games. The first variation appears most notably in the chapter Crawling Catacombs in Spyro's Adventure, and is also seen later in Creepy Citadel. This version, which features three vertically stacked circular saw blades on a moving shaft, returns in Giants within the large Tech Elemental Gate in Molekin Mountain.

Each Buzz Saw of this kind moves side-to-side along a fixed track, spanning narrow walkways or enclosed corridors. Players must carefully time their movements to avoid being hit by the spinning blades. These hazards can also be destroyed by throwing a Bomb at them, causing the blades to shoot out as they break apart, which can damage the Skylander if hit.

The second variation is introduced in Giants, debuting in Kaos' Kastle and appearing again in Molekin Mountain. This design becomes more prominent throughout Giants.

In Giants, Buzz Saws come in several new configurations: with one, three, or five saw blades stacked vertically on a single shaft. During the second round of Pipsqueak’s arena, two three-blade Buzz Saws rotate clockwise along the arena’s perimeter. In the third round, a unique hazard appears: a central machine with four horizontally placed, single-blade Buzz Saws that spin counterclockwise.
