Chompy Pods are plants that spawn Chompies in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They need to be destroyed to stop the Chompies from spawning. In Skylanders: Giants, they are replaced with Root Runners .
In the 3DS version, there is also a purple variant in The Wingwarrens that make you smaller if you get hit by their attack.
