Malefor is the Undead Dragon King in the underworld of Skylands. Although never seen in the game, he was the one who corrupted Cynder into doing his evil bidding and attempted to capture Hex to learn the secrets of her powers.

Story

History

It was said that Malefor has laid down in the shadows of the Underworld for centuries, sending his dark minions to up to the world above to carry out his bidding. Although he has yet to appear on-screen, Malefor played a sinister role in the backstories of both Hex and Cynder, two Undead Skylanders. He was the one who raised Cynder to do his evil bidding after his henchmen stole her while the violet dragoness was still just an egg. His evil influence was what caused Cynder to spread fear throughout the land for years until Spyro finally defeated her, freeing Cynder from Malefor's control.

Malefor was also the one who attempted to capture Hex several times to unlock the secrets of her powers. In response, the elven sorceress confronted the Undead Dragon King himself in the underworld and successfully battled him, leaving Malefor terribly wounded. Many believe Malefor will return one day, but the Skylanders, including Hex, will be waiting for him.

• In The Legend of Spyro reboot, Malefor is an evil purple dragon of prophecy.
