- Grinnade's name is a play on the word 'grenade', which is also an explosive weapon.
- Grinnade, Sheep Creep, Chompy, Buzzer Beak, and Bone Chompy are the only villains that make noises instead of speaking.
- Grinnade could be a reference to the Bob-ombs from the Mario Nintendo game series.
