Contents
Flynn's Fables
Magic to the Core
One day, Trigger Happy proposes that Spyro should duel him in a challenge to see if Trigger Happy’s gold coins could go higher than Spyro could fly. Spyro accepts the challenge and flies high in the skies as Trigger Happy shoots his coins, only for Spyro to suddenly plummet for unknown reasons (Trigger Happy claims that Kaos shot him down, while Spyro claims that it was Trigger Happy himself who shot him). As he plummets to the ground, Spyro swooped towards the Core of Light and flew into the beam of light it emits, then used the power of the Magic Element within the beam to heal his injured wing. To this day, nobody knows who really shot Spyro out of the skies, though allegedly Kaos was nowhere to be seen that day.
Burning Trouble
While trying to think of a way to grow stronger, Eruptor spies Double Trouble training with his doubles and decides he wants the ability to create doubles of himself as well. Eruptor asks Double Trouble to perform the spell he used to grant himself his double-creation powers on Eruptor himself, and Double Trouble, sensing an opportunity, tells Eruptor he would have to wear a Singing Sunflower all day in order for the spell to work. Eruptor complies, and that night, returns to Double Trouble—who admits the whole thing was just a prank before fleeing and laying low for quite a while to avoid Eruptor’s rage.
Mine Destruction
While rolling around and looking for things to destroy one day, Wrecking Ball spies a mine and decides to roll inside and destroy everything he can. In the midst of the destruction, however, Wrecking Ball rolls into a humongous chamber filled with unhappy Rock Walkers. He initially considers battling them, but realizes there’s far too many for him to take on and quickly flees.
Voodood and the Treasure Chest
A mysterious treasure chest appears on the edge of the Ruins’ waters one particular morning and is discovered by Voodood. He decides to open it, but is unable to as he has no keys, and instead brings the chest to Gill Grunt, under the assumption that he might know something about the chest due to knowing so much about the sea. However, Gill Grunt is equally clueless, and his attempts to open the chest by attacking it with his harpoons fail as well.
It is then that Voodood realizes that the situation calls for a much more magical weapon, and attacks the chest with his Axe Reaver. The chest splits open immediately, and reveals that inside is a fragment of the gem that Voodood found the Axe Reaver in. He then gives the gem to Master Eon so that it can be used for good.
Ready, Aim, Misfire!
Trigger Happy decides to do some target practice one day by shooting rocks with pictures of bandits drawn onto them, but the gold coins he shoots keep ricocheting off the rocks and hitting the sheep around. As Trigger Happy practices, Flameslinger runs by, and, upon witnessing his sharpshooting, decides he fancies a challenge—the two of them would attempt to shoot over the top of a blimp without hitting it, and whoever succeeds is the winner. Trigger Happy accepts, though he runs into a bit of a problem as he enjoys hitting things when he shoots.
They both take their shots, but while Flameslinger just shoots a single arrow high in the air, Trigger Happy instead unleashes a bullet hail that ends up tearing the blimp to pieces as Flameslinger wins. The blimp goes plummeting towards the two Skylanders, but they are rescued in time by Master Eon, who witnessed the falling blimp and magically repaired it. Despite how unhappy Master Eon was with Trigger Happy for the incident, Trigger Happy still spent the day dancing around as usual.
Explosive Mechanic
Gurglefin is struggling to get one of his latest machines to work, and decides he needs the help of a Tech Skylander. At that moment, Drill Sergeant comes wheeling down, and Gurglefin asks him for help. Drill Sergeant recognizes that the problem is a few missing cogs, and gets the machine to work. As it roars into a fiery start, Drill Sergeant asks just what Gurglefin was inventing, and Gurglefin reveals that the machine is the engine for his drilling machine—much to Drill Sergeant’s displeasure, as he did not like the idea of having a rival. Regardless, however, Drill Sergeant finishes off the engine’s construction with some Primordial Goo to help Gurglefin invent one of Skylands’ greatest drilling machines.
Troll Trouble
Boomer is enjoying a day off while Gill Grunt is testing some new adjustment to his power hose to have it carry his favorite float juice, only for a group of trolls to come by and attempt to steal Gill Grunt’s cannon. Gill Grunt attempts to stop them, but as the cannon is loaded with juice, it just ends up jamming. Luckily for Gill Grunt, Boomer happened to be in the area and used his dynamite sticks to blow up Gill Grunt’s jammed jet-pack. The explosion covers the trolls in sticky float juice and forces them to flee, keeping the secrets of Gill Grunt’s weaponry safe for another day.
The Tech Compass
The story begins with Drobot heading back to the island where he discovered the ancient tech he made his robot suit from, as the suit was malfunctioning and he needed to tweak it. Upon arriving, he spies a special, silver Tech compass made to assist pilots with takeoffs and landings. Drobot gives the compass to Flynn upon his return to aid him in his takeoffs, but Flynn ends up dropping it by accident (but rations that he’s such a good pilot that he didn’t need it anyways).
