The Skaletones are a musical band of Skeletons. According to Hood Sickle, the Skaletones come from the Underworld, and many other villains are fans of their music. The leader of the band is a skeleton named Crossbones and the xylophonist is notably T-Bone. After completing Phoenix Psanctuary in the main story, the Skaletones station themselves at Skylanders Academy, and the Skylanders can defeat aspiring but unwanted singers in a minigame called Skaletones Showdown.

- Dr. Krankcase and Brawlrus imply that not many bands ever become as beloved as the Skaletones, if they become known at all. The former also mentions that the only other big option for a favorite band is the Gecko Chorus, though no other villains ever express liking them.
- Rattlin' Rhoda is the only member of the band never encountered outside of the minigame.
