This page is dedicated to the rules in keeping the Skylanders Wiki a friendly and nice place. All users should read the rules before editing. Abide by the rules, and you will do fine.

Rules

Vandalism

Vandalizing the site via spam, offensive language, adding gibberish, re-writing pages with false information, removing content, etc.) isn't allowed on this wiki. Minor vandalizing will result in a warning, then a block if continued. Major vandalism will result in a long-term block.

Hate

We are aware that the Skylanders franchise has been receiving major hatred from the older Spyro the Dragon fanbase, who dislike the game franchise for certain reasons such as Spyro's redesign and the direction of the Spyro franchise was put through. Any form of major hatred on the wiki this game is for will result in a long-term ban.

Please Speak English

This is an English-speaking wiki. We won't understand you if you communicate with us and in a different language. If you have trouble with making edits in the English language, I would strongly advise to not edit the articles as this would risk making errors.

Advertising

The Skylanders Wiki is not a place to advertise other websites. Any forms of advertisement will be deleted.

Trolling/Flaming

Please do not provoke other users on the wiki, such posts will be deleted. Further trolling or flaming after being warned will result with a temp ban or long-term ban depending on the amount of trolling done.

Spam

Do not spam comments such 'NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!', nor replace content in articles with spam. Comments such as these will be deleted/reverted.

Fan Content

No fanart are to be posted on any of the Skylander articles. This is not a fanon wiki where you post your fan ideas for Skylanders, Guest Stars, fan games and gimmicks.

Edit Wars

An edit war is when two or more users have a disagreement on what should be in an article, and revert the other's contributions over and over. When this happens, the article should be reverted to its previous state before the edit war started and temporarily locked. An admin, or someone who can settle the conflict, should then sort out the problem on the article's Talk page. Changing the article after it has been reverted will result in severe punishment.

Images

No scanned images from books

Unless they are officially provided by official sources, do not upload scanned pages of published books as this falls in the red area with copyright.

Categorize and add File Descriptions to the Image Files

If you are uploading images from a specific game, please fill in the file descriptions and category them under the games they are from. If there is a source to where you got the image file(s) from, please add them to the file descriptions as well so people will know where you got it from.

For example, if you took a screenshot of a level in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, categorize that screenshot under "game-screenshot" and add the "Category:Skylanders: Spyro's Advneture game screenshots" with brackets included. If you took a game screenshot that includes characters in a cutscene like Spyro and Master Eon, add "Category:Spyro" and "Category:Master Eon" with brackets in place surrounding each category.

False Information

This wiki is for users who look on here for information on Skylanders that are valid and not false. Users who make repeated changes and adding false information will have their edits reverted. Any repeating of adding false information will result in that user being blocked for a while, or depending on the amount of edits, longer, and the page will be protected for a while.
