The Gargoyle is a scrapped Water Skylanders who was created for Skylanders: SuperChargers.

Character Development

Gargoyle was designed for Skylanders: SuperChargers, but they weren't approved and were soon scrapped after Vicarious Visions unsuccessfully made attempts to fit them into the battle ready lineup. The development team still held a soft spot for the character, though, and used the gargoyle for one of their Game Developer Conference presentations on the modeling and posing process.

Some of its abilities involve spraying a powerful waterbreath, turning into a statue for temporary immunity and summoning fountains.

Trivia

• Gargoyle has another concept that has them having no visible nose.
• A gargoyle is a type of grotesque - a decorative figure on a building - that acts as a spout on the sides of a building. By directing water away from the roof and out of the structure, they prevent the mortar from being damaged over time, using a trough on their backs as seen in the Unnamed Gargoyle.
• He can be played through file swapping.
• Coinicidently, the Sensei villain Grave Clobber would also have the ability to summmon fountains in Imaginators.
• The Gargoyle's ability to turn into a statue is perhaps a reference to the Disney animated series Gargoyles.
