Untitled Vicarious Visions title

From Skylanders Wiki

In 2015, Vicarious Visions had begun development on a Skylanders title for a 2017 release codenamed Prism. A demo was developed that included toys with two RFID chips in their base instead of simply one. This would allow players to change characters or forms using only one figure by twisting it, similar to how the Skylanders/Amiibo hybrid figures. The game would have seen a major shift from a design perspective, going from a linear level based system to an open world that players could explore seamlessly. An online multiplayer mode, where players could collect items and take them to their teams bank, was also prototyped.

The project was cancelled in 2016 due to Skylanders: SuperChargers and later Imaginators underperforming in sales. Vicarious Visions attempted to reboot the project's multiplayer mode as an original intellectual property, retaining the Prism codename, but Activision also canceled this attempt.[1]
