Would You Mind?

Thanks for your quick response to my blog post. You made some great suggestions. I did notice you were quite active on the Spyro Wiki, so I wanted to ask if I could borrow some of the information and use It here. Specifically, the max number each characters stats can get to. I don't mind but you may want to discuss it with Aura24 a bit. She's the one to talk to when it comes to copying info. As for the max stats, they can be calculated relatively easily. The max health is twice the starting health. Max elemental power is 100 for all Skylanders. The other stats maximums are simply all heroic bonusses added to the minimum stat. The only other thing to take into account is wheter a character has an armor upgrade (like Bash's soul gem). If they do, then add +40 to max armor. And that's all there's to it. On the Spyro wiki, I made a template that calculates that automatically when you enter the minimum stats. Maybe Aura'll allow you to copy that? ThierryTNG 08:34, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Admins?

Hey Thierry, I have really noticed an influx of trollish behavior lately. Since joining the Wiki, I've put in a LOT of work editing, creating pages, staying on watch for phony changes, etc. It really seems to be a lot of work for just you and Aura to handle. Some Badge Talk

Hey Thierry, I've finished all the badges. I had a question though... I haven't finalized any ideas yet, but I tried to play around with the creating a new track section. For some reason I just kept getting a message saying the track didn't exist. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? 1Pdawan 01:58, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe those tracks have to be linked to a category, so maybe you have to pick a name that corresponds with an existing category. So you can for example, make a track that gives badges whenever people edit the category Skylanders, or the Category NPCs. I've messed around bit with them on the spyro wiki, but I found it far to limited to be of any real use.

But you're welcome to try things of course. The badges look very nice I must say, so I'm sure they're in good hands. ThierryTNG 07:39, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

They tend to get out of hand in my opinion with a couple of users. I already see some just posting to get badges more so then useful content. We don't need Artworks popping up in gallery's when the same artwork is on the very top of the page for example. It just looks messy then in my opinion.WickedRogue 10:35, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

I can see your point, but I've also noticed that once users get past the first few, 1 edit, 5 edits, they lose interest because of the hard work they'd have to put in. And yes, some users will double post the title art into the gallery, but they were doing that before the badges came out. Someone had 25 just to get the badge, they weren't all Artwork pics but some were yeah, I just hate the double edge sword effect of it is all. I am not blaming you for the one you did, it happens no one is perfect. I just mean there is some that are posting useless stuff. It has its flaws yes, like how you don't get any credit for editing templates, or how quantity trumps quality. To me, the badges are more of a novelty than an actual 'rank'. And while it may encourage users to make useless edits, it does introduce them to the concept of uploading and modifying content. So in a way, it helps them learn how wikis work. If it gets out of hand, we can remove them but for now, I think we can handle things. ThierryTNG 23:09, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

I found out they actually released 7 plus 8 now. I can't afford them yet haha. They both have L bridges in them also. Since Legendary's and Dark count I end up with 31. I guess that's why it's possible now. WickedRogue

Stats Template

That's what it was made for. :-) It might be a good idea to check the stats while you're at it, as some sources (mainly the game guide) contain a few errors. I think it'd be best if we list the ingame base stats, not those found elsewhere (if they differ of course). ThierryTNG 09:33, February 24, 2012 (UTC)

Alright cool. Just long as people don't say this should be Spyro's Adventure, so far it's the one problem between this Giants and the Spyro Wiki we have no proof Spyro is the main character anymore. It's not just you, it is me also, was sorta what I was trying to explain. I think they only used Spyro so that if it failed as a franchise they would at least get Spyro fans to buy it? Does that seem to make sense? For example Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts for the 360, realistically it has nothing to do with the Banjo Kazooie franchise. Upgrade Pictures Problem

We have a problem, Thierry. Dark52 from darkspyro had just started putting watermark on the Skylander upgrade pictures, though he didn't add watermarks to the other Skylander upgrades he uploaded previously. With the easy way of getting the source images from the site out of the picture, we need images of the upgrades straight from the game unfortunately. -- Aura24 19:37, March 14, 2012 (UTC)

When you are selecting it? Yes, it doesn't have it and Thierry hasn't been active since March, and he put on the Template page not to edit it without his permission, so I don't know what to do, I guess we can edit it and add it, and when he has activity again, just let him know we edited it to add the Dragons Peak along with its magic items. - Clubchloe1 22:15, September 15, 2012 (UTC)
