- – VVind-Up's official catchphraseVVind-Up is an unused variant of Wind-Up in Skylanders: Swap Force. In later games such as Skylanders: Imaginators, VVind-Up has yellow goggles.
Background
Biography
Built in the enchanted workshop of a toymaker obsessed with time, Wind-Up was created to help keep his massive collection of complicated clocks working perfectly. But when the toymaker popped out of existence in a freak accident caused by putting hot cocoa in a cross-wired Arkeyan oven, Wind-Up found himself surrounded by an invading Cyclops platoon - with an eye towards claiming the toymaker's secrets for themselves. Using split-second timing, clockwork strategy, and his totally wound up energy, Wind-Up bravely sprang into action and handily defeated the Cyclops. He later joined the Skylanders to help swing the pendulum the other way in their fight against anything that threatens Skylands.

Trivia
- The letter W in his name is replaced with VV, which is an abbreviation of Vicarious Visions, the main developers for Skylanders: Swap Force.
- Despite being an unused variant, he's fully playable and exists in the code for Skylanders: Swap Force, SuperChargers and Imaginators.
- If you attempt to load this variant in Skylanders: Trap Team, it will just load as a "Special" Wind-Up, with no visual differences.
- This is also the case in the 3DS games and Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing, as his code was never implemented in those games.
- If you attempt to load this variant in Skylanders: Trap Team, it will just load as a "Special" Wind-Up, with no visual differences.
- In Skylanders: SuperChargers and Imaginators, his health at level 1 is 1337. This is likely a reference to "leetspeak," the use of numbers in replacement of letters.
- At level 20, his health is increased to 4011. This is currently the highest amount of health that any Skylander has.
- In Skylanders: SuperChargers, his character icon re-uses the default Wind-Up HUD sprite from Swap Force instead of artwork of the variant, since this variant was never given proper character artwork.
- This means he is the only character in SuperChargers to use a HUD sprite from Swap Force.
- It's possible that all the other characters HUD sprites from Swap Force could still exist in SuperChargers' game files.
- This means he is the only character in SuperChargers to use a HUD sprite from Swap Force.
