"Alter Ego"

Just out of curiosity, how did the Lost Islands-exclusive term "Alter Ego" (which within the context of the game only refers to Lost Islands-exclusive digital counterparts) become the master term used for all alternate Skylanders on the wiki? In the SG (according to the figures page), SSF and STT official strategy guides (these 2 I've checked myself), alternate Skylanders are called Alt Decos (in the STT guide, it's even used for Dark and Nitro), which would be a much more appropriate term. Dirffrent pages for the villian sensi

Hey Aura can we have different pages for the villain sensei? I know they are the same but they have a different gameplay style and I think they need their own pages what do you think?

How to Reset Creation Crystals?

Although the Creation Crystals cannot be reset in Skylanders: Imaginators, there is only one way to literally reset them. In fact, I found these videos on YouTube that each clarify how exactly.

Destiny?

Hey there, I heard some rumors that Vicarious Visions is working on a completely different game called Destiny and are also working on Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy. I really want to know, Does this mean that Skylanders 2017, Skylanders Acadamy and the whole Skylanders series really is canceled for good? It was straight-up confirmed that VV is working on Destiny. In fact, this article shows a tweet from Bungie confirming that VV is working on Destiny. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-12-09-amid-rumours-of-skylanders-cancellation-dev-vicarious-visions-is-now-working-on-destiny

I don't know if I should add it to the VV article or where, though.

Vicarious Visions isn't associated with Skylanders Academy, so even if they're not working on Skylanders, which hasn't been confirmed for sure, that wouldn't mean anything for the TV series. Adminship

I think you need a second admin and I think I could be the perfect admin since I'll keep a eagle eye view on the wiki just in case users mess up this wiki and I have good admin history (I've been admin on over 8 wikis)

While we appreciate your offer to help, we don't have a shortage of admins-in addition to Aura, there's myself and HauntedLorene, and PrincessNightmoon as a content moderator. Any assistance in clearing up vandalism would definitely be appreciated, but vandalism can only be done on unprotected pages-you wouldn't need admin privileges to clear it up. I could make a perfect chat moderator though and I'm able to keep a eye out for spam, pornography links, shock sites and illegal pirating method links in chat and advise people to not talk about politics and other touchy subjects and I'll warn than ban though.

Ro-Bow's Name

I was looking through my parts in Skylanders: Imaginators and I saw that for both Ro-Bow's Cavalier Hat and his Robot Bow, it said "Awarded By RO-BOW". Yeaah, all because Heartbreaker is removed from the site, he's "cancelled". Tell that to Legendary Night Shift, Legendary Zoo Lou, Quickdraw Rattle Shake, King Cobra Cadabra, Legendary Bushwhack. They aren't listed on the official site but they were released. Broken images on user pages/talk page archives?

As you've clearly seen, I've been going through the broken old images and marking any unused ones for deletion, but there's something I'm wondering about. There's a handful of images that, while used, are only used on long-inactive users' pages or on talk page archives. Spelling error on the main page

Hello Aura, just wanted to reach out because I have found a spelling error on the main page:
Inside the first box it says "About the Skyanders Wiki", instead of "Skylanders Wiki" - the "l" is missing.

Congratulations on the fork by the way; especially as someone who has actively forked other wikis off Fandom and basically grew up with the Skylanders series I am wishing you loads of success with the new site!

Voice Actors

I think the other voice template is unnecessary, all Voice actors should be credited in the main characterbox and not just the english ones. - Slipshower

To be honest, cramming all the foreign voice actors under one section in the characterbox would stretch the template too far down. And there isn't a code on mediawiki that would allow to hide it. I have to disagree, I think these people deserve an equal spot up there, so this time we should not do it like the other wikis. So either all Voice Actors should be shown ontop or under the characterbox, the english ones included. Its just naturally that long, since there were many People voicing these characters. In conclusion to make it fair you should either make an box for all VAs and not have it part of the characterbox or include evryone in the characterbox. I think you're exaggerating on the equality bit, Slip. Having all the VAs in the characterbox would still be the same as in the Fandom wiki. A vote you say, we would have to see what several People from Australia/UK/USA/Canada and some of the other countries think. In my opinion Voice Actors need to have an equal position, but this is something no other wiki I have ever seen really does. There are more languages than any one can speak, but the people voicing the characters did the same work which goes over being the main audience in my opinion.

The Smash wiki has english and japanese above and the other voice actors (Announcer most notably) kabelled as other. In my opinion all voice actors need the same position in the wiki. I thought of making an enemy names in other languages template (like on the mariowikis) there it would be fine of not having these names in the same position as the english one, but not with VAs since these are people behind them. People which are definitely much more than just enemy names and where some could also get their own articles.

Now I can tell something I do know. Remember the unused vehicle enemy names? I do know for a fact that there are translated names for at least the french and german language, but the spanish one has the exact same names just different announcer. The person I asked didnt look into more. But something tells me that the german and french one could be the only ones with names. There was once this promotion for ssc where they upgraded an sled and the English, German and French version had youtubers from their respective countries hosting the video. And secondly in the mario games, many enemies habe translated names in these two languages while many others dont.

An demographic of 8 people, where I wonder how much they know about the non english voice actors and that from an more than 2 language perspective aswell. Where did you imagine the box to be put? Somewhere far under the Characterbox like in other Wikis? Or directly underneath so people could directly see them. One of the reasons I liked the Wiki was that the Voice Actors, the multiple people from many languages behind the Characters, were treated equally. That was something I never saw on other wikis or anywhere else really. The other Voice Actors put personality into the characters aswell, to bring the games/show into different languages. The first voice actors shouldn’t be put above the other Voice Actors, since they essentially did the same work and since they were offically casted to their roles. I often hear that the largest part of the demographic would be english (and sometimes japanese) and that this would be an reason to put them above the others, but this is no reason to credit the Voice Actors unequally. I think that people should accept that there is more than one Voice behind an character. Making the boxes seperate could seem like an small decision, while it isnt in reality. I think that all the Voice Actors should be put into one box, due to all of them having done the job to voice these characters. ~~~~

Hear me out; I think that, even though they are the most known VAs, the english VAs should not be prioritized for being more known or the first Voice of a character since all these VAs from the different languages did the same job, just for different areas of our world. and This is an topic I cant stop thinking about. I have seen people disregarding / ignoring Voice Actors for an long time and I think that ALL VAs should be treated and listed equally, something I saw BARELY ANYWHERE. The large majority never thinks about VAs from outside their own language or langusge they can speak and disregards that there is more than they know. This leads to ignorance and then the People completely ignore others of their own human kind. See mone of the Skylanders Voice Actors from the other languages were actually credited for their work and its in many other games/shows the case aswell. And when that happens, for example the Simpsons, they get cramped at the end without much care of if they were actually in the episode or not. People who voiced the main characters are never credited alongside the englush one as starring and VAs from other countries NEVER won any award or are pais as good. In my opinion this is very ignorrant since they are pwople as much as the first language VAs are.

And besides an larger audience and thus famw, what do the english VAs have what the other VAs dobt have?

My answer is that you should not let the language barrier seperate the equality of human beings, in this case the other VAs. What I liked about them being in one box was thst if you want to see one, you will see every other known voice. But the seperate box without the english VAs will most likely be overlooked, even though all VAs deserve an chance to be seen by the public.

An larger english speaking audience is not everything, there simply are more people which had to give an voice to the characters for other languages. What I want to say is that for an fictional character there is more than one voice and with that more than one person behind the voice. Multiple people from the world where we all live in; and this is something which goes beyond the amount of the english speaking people.

I see the english wiki as the largest wiki, only independent Skylanders wiki and most active Skylanders wiki. The others are only for one country, while most people speak english if not even everyone in the Skylanders Community. But this includes both native english speaking people and bilingual people. So this is the best place to give out all the information, to an english speaking person the information about VAs from other languages might seem irrelevant at first but this also applies to the people speaking other languages natively. I think an wiki should put the VAs at an section where they are all seen as VAs. The english ones are logically placed first as the first voice of the characters, but they should be in the same section due to them all being the voice for the character for different regions and languages of the world.

Slip, it is not a big deal. You are making this huge than it needs to be. There is no language nor VA bias here, otherwise the other foreign voice actors wouldn’t be on the pages at all. All this is coming from you and only you, and you are acting like it’s the end of Skylands. Obviously what you’re saying is all coming from a very personal level that it looks like you’re projecting it onto the harmless VA change. I’m not going to keep arguing with you over this. First the MagicEnemynav needs to have an l between „Fitter Glimmer“ and the VehicleEnemynave needs Sand Towers replaced with Artillery Towers. Thats all.

About Map Templates

I have seen Map Templates on other Wikis, even an unfinished one on the old fandom wiki which was not ported over.

Could it be that Mediawiki doesnt support Maps or that they work differently?

Do you know where I could look up this kind of mediawiki extension. I planned on making an Map of The Dread-Yacht and maybe even the majority of Levels, which were featured in the official guide Books/The official Map App. This would be an helpful addition to the Pages since the Maps are 1:1 and feature all Locations of hidden Objects.
