Game description

Air Spell Punks are one of the eight types of Spell Punks. They wield the element of Air and are first encountered at Sky Schooner Docks in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.

Air Spell Punks can summon windy barriers around other enemies to deflect projectiles fired by the Skylanders.

In Swap Force, they have the ability to increase the speed of surrounding enemies with their air magic. When all other enemies are affected, or there are no more enemies to affect, they instead cast small tornadoes at Skylanders.

In Skylanders: Battlecast, Air Spell Punks have the ability to Stormcraft, summoning two Air Elemental Spell Cards, and always carry an Air Wand, which allows them to attack alongside such spells.

Story

The Machine of Doom

An Air Spell Punk led a group of trolls and casted an invisibility spell on them to test it out so that they can steal the Chattering Key for Kaos without being seen by the guard of the Key. However, to the Spell Punk's fustration, the trolls wanted to cause some mischief in the Mabu Market, drawing the attention of the Skylanders. The wizard was caught by Spyro, who forced the Spell Punk to accidentally blurt out the existence of the Chattering Key to the dragon Skylander. Kaos appeared as an apparition of his head and bellowed furiously to the Spell Punk that the wizard would be punished for revealing information to Spyro, and the fearful Spell Punk was then transported back to Kaos's lair along with the trolls.

Trivia

  • The invisibility spells are the specialty of Magic Spell Punks instead in Swap Force and Superchargers.
  • Stormcraft is one of the three Spell Punk card in Battlecast to use the Vicarious Visions games' appearance, despite the ingame models having the other version. The other cards are Grave Danger and Seedcraft.
