Rift into Overdrive is the fifth comic story arc and the comic book prequel to Skylanders: SuperChargers.
Summary
The official story leading into 2015's Skylanders video game. The citizens of Skylands are in their most desperate hour as Kaos begins to tear the world apart with his newfound powers. Spyro and an elite group of Skylanders must enter an ancient and unknown part of Skylands and find the only hope left that can stand against Kaos' might! The origin story of Skylanders Superchargers starts right here!
Major events
- Kaos escapes his Traptanium prison with help of the remanining piece of The Darkness.
- Count Moneybone joins Kaos in his latest plan that involves a great machine which creates dangerous rifts that eats the sky and everything around it.
- The Portal network around Skylands are cut off because of the rifts, stranding many Skylanders.
- Spyro enlists Stealth Elf, Gill Grunt, Terrafin and Jet-Vac to go to Know-It-All Island to find more clues on the Rift Engines.
- SuperChargers, Spitfire, Dive-Clops, Fiesta and Stormblade assist Terrafin, Stealth Elf, Gill Grunt and Jet-Vac on their mission to find the Rift Engines, becoming Skylanders as a result.
- Master Eon, Flynn, Cali, and Hugo become captured by Count Moneybone's prison ship.
