Dark Spyro is the evil counterpart of Spyro created after Strykore consumed Spyro's light energy, corrupting him into this dark state.

- Like his in-game counterpart, Dark Spyro resembles his original appearance in the GBA version of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. Also, like the original appearance in the console games of Legend of Spyro, his voice is changed from his real form, though he changes voice actors entirely rather than using a filter.
- There was a figure that was released with the first game of the Skylanders series, Skylanders Spyros Adventure named Dark Spyro. The figure came with the 3DS bundle.
