Pop Rocks is the eighth episode in the Skylanders Academy television series.

Synopsis

The young Skylanders learn that Pop Fizz used to be in a rock band with Wolfgang, who plans to turn fans at a music festival into an army of drones.

Story

Loud music can be heard from the Team Spyro Home, as Stealth Elf and Eruptor rock out to tunes in a jukebox. The elf is eager enough to do an air guitar solo, and Eruptor joins in lighting up his hands as pretend pyrotechnics. Spyro interrupts the duo's shenanigans, starting a conversation about their upcoming mission at the Skylands Music Festival and how they are all eager for it, until Jet-Vac walks into the room wearing a pirate bandana. He announces their mission briefing as intel had concluded the possibility that Wolfgang would infiltrate the festival to enact an evil plan and they had to sneak into the crowd, and for that, the Sky Baron planned gestures to dance to the rock music as well. The younger Skylanders immediately express concern over his exaggerated moves, but before they can do anything about it, Jet-Vac pulls a muscle and becomes stuck in place.

  • The episode title is a reference to the candy of the same name.
  • A running gag throughout this episode is Master Eon declaring which foods are unsafe to eat, and Hugo running to throw up due to having consumed each food item.
