Second Dimension
World Type: Floating Islands
Residents: Unknown
Appears in: Skylanders: Battlecast

The Second Dimension is the setting of Skylanders: Battlecast, in which conventional forms of battle aren't applied. With many Elemental Realms and a new section of the Skylanders Academy, it was taken over by Kaos' forces after a rift was opened into it, and the player must become a Battlecaster to lead the Skylanders to free it.

Though in earlier versions of the game its skies were endless clouds like in Skylands, in its recent appearance it is a mystical night sky divided by constellations spanning its entire length, some containing smaller ones in the shape of the Elemental Symbols.

Trivia

  • The Elemental Realms have similar naming as the Light and Dark Realms, though it is unclear if they are part of the Second Dimension or part of Skylands.
  • Each of the Realms has a specific Element, and they need a corresponding Skylander to be opened. This is similar to the Elemental Islands and Sanctuaries in Skylanders: Lost Islands.
  • Kaos attempted to rename it the "Second Doom-ension".
  • Despite in most realms the final boss is the Doom Raider of its element, in the Water Realm the final boss is Chill Bill instead of The Gulper.
    • In the Magic Realm the final boss is Pain-Yatta instead of a Doom Raider, due to there's not any Magic Doom Raider. Despite, Kaos could have been the final boss there, as he was originally planned to be in the Magic element.
