Boom Bloom's official catchphrase

Boom Bloom is a mutant plant who is the Life Sensei of the Ninja Battle Class in Skylanders: Imaginators. She is avaliable in the Enchanted Elven Forest Adventure Packs and is the main character of the fourth Skylanders: Ring of Heroes Episode Dungeon, The Flower that Bloomed from Scrap.

Background

Physical Traits

Boom Bloom is an anthropomorphic mutant plant with leafy pigtails. She wears a black gi with the sensei gold belt, and she holds a thorny vine whip.

Personality

Boom Bloom is soft spoken and polite, rarely using contractions. Despite this, she's headstrong and insensitive, making rash decisions without much thought and is easily confused and embarrassed. She still retains her memories of when she was a living tree, as well as the feelings of the ones that used to be with her.

Biography

Boom Bloom was created in the laboratory of a mad scientist! After using his mutation goo to change deadwood into evil creatures, Dr. Krankcase began experimenting with live plants! But it had a much different effect. Instead of becoming subservient villains, the mutated plants instantly rebelled against their creator and tried to destroy his goo factory. Dr. Krankcase and his henchmen were able to thwart all of these insurgent plants, except for one - Boom Bloom! Her mutation gave her extraordinary Ninja skills and a thorny whip, which she used to unleash a flurry of martial arts moves that forced Dr. Krankcase to flee his own factory and vow never to experiment on plants again. Now as a Sensei of the Ninja class, she uses her incredible abilities to teach new Skylanders how to protect nature... and unleash its fury!

Other appearances

Skylanders: Ring of Heroes

Boom Bloom’s Episode Dungeon expands on her origins. As soon as Boom Bloom was reformed into her current appearance, she became overwhelmed by her newfound sense of emotions and rampaged around Dr. Krankcase’s Abandoned Factory. Skylanders Flameslinger, Food Fight, Smolderdash and Tree Rex were assigned to investigate the disturbance and discovered Boom Bloom and other plantlike creatures wrecking the lab in their attempts to get revenge on Dr. Krankcase.

Trivia

  • Boom Bloom's "hair" resembles succulent plants, a classification for plants with fleshy, thick leaves. The classification includes cacti, asparagus and aloe, which resembles the "hair" the most with its reddish leaf tips.
  • Boom Bloom is the third ninja Life Skylander, after Stealth Elf and Stink Bomb.
    • She is also the third Life Skylander to be a mutated plant, after Tree Rex and Food Fight.
  • Boom Bloom and Dr. Neo Cortex are the only Senseis to not have weapons of their battle class. Though she can fire the projectiles from her pigtail leaves, her primary weapon is a whip.
  • Boom Bloom is one of the few Skylanders to have boom in their name.
    • Boom Bloom is the second life Skylander whose name contains the word "Boom" (the first being Shroomboom).
      • Coincidentally, both Bloom Boom and Shroomboom were created through a villain's efforts.
  • Despite the official renderings of her figure, Boom Bloom, unlike the other Senseis, has the Life element symbol on her base instead of the Ninja battle class symbol.
  • Though Boom Bloom is of the Ninja class, none of her abilities relate to throwing blades; instead, she specializes in their secondary abilities of trapping enemies and crowd control.
  • Boom Bloom was the last Sensei (not counting the villains) added to Ring of Heroes.
    • She was also the last Skylander added to Ring of Heroes before the game was announced to be rebooted.
  • Boom Bloom is the only Skylander to have an episode dungeon in the revamp of ROH.
