The Boulder Bowler was planned to be an enemy in Skylanders: Giants, but was scrapped for reasons unknown. Despite its absence from the final game, it does appear as a Skystone and makes a full appearance in the Skylanders: Giants version of Master Eon's Official Guide.

Background

Appearance

The Boulder Bowler is a unknown species of plant with a green body and bright orange hands. It has big red eyes with black pupils, two sharp teeth sticking up from the lower jaw, and leaves decorating the head. It is small in stature, and its cry is high pitched and imp-like.

Trivia

• The only known appearance of a Boulder Bowler is in an alpha version of Skylanders: Giants, where it appears as a large Chompy. When it attacks, the Bowler crouches as if preparing to leap and bite, only to roll up and spin rapidly. It rolls forward to attack with its aura of spikes, and if it hits a Skylander, it bounces into the air.
  • This alpha version of Boulder Bowler interacts strangely with Arkeyan Bombers' orbs. The Arkeyan Bombers will target the Boulder Bowler, and if the player picks their bombs off the ground, they will snap into the Boulder Bowler's possession instead.
