Seadogs are a race of canine-like creatures who have a tradition to being pirates, with the most villainous and scurviest of all seadog pirates being Captain Dreadbeard. They are also notably known for playing Pirate Cards and Skystones.

Card Games
The Pirates on Plunder Island play card games as it is more of a traditional game, and the pirates fancy themselves as "old-schoolers".
Skystones
Other Pirates look down on the more modern breed of pirates who play Skystones and buy carnivals and have forgotten the classic style of pirate life: pillaging, hornswoggling, scallywaggery, and of course, Pirate Cards.

- There are currently no known Seadogs who are a Skylander, female, or a non pirate character.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version of Spyro's Adventure, there are polar variants of Seadog Skippers and Seadog Pirates who reside in Whitefall Summits.
