The issue you were having with the switch tag is simple. When inserting table code into tags, you have to change | into {{!}}, or the check will misinterpret the | as a "pipe" (such as in links: [[link|text]]). That's why a lot of the complicated tables use only {{!}}: {| becomes {{{!}}, |- becomes {{!}}-, |} becomes {{!}}}, and so on. - Princess Nightmoon (talk) 04:35, December 10, 2016 (UTC)
