- – Game description
Bone Chompies are skeletal variations of Chompies that first appeared in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, though they are never officially introduced. They can be found in Darklight Crypt, where they serve as the ghost-world variant of normal Chompies. However, due to the structure of the level, most players will not encounter them, by avoiding the normal Chompies in Occulous's maze and switching worlds and backtracking, players can trigger their appearance. Bone Chompies behave identically to normal Chompies, but with a skeletal appearance with orange glowing eyes.
They were properly introduced in Skylanders: Giants, where they are first seen attacking Norticus in Time of the Giants. Like their normal counterparts, they attack using their teeth.
In Skylanders: Swap Force, they appear in Down the River, the Haunted Villa and later in the Clockwork Arena after Count Moneybone opened an gate to the Underworld.
In Skylanders: Trap Team, one Bone Chompy is a trappable villain. Unlike previous appearances, Bone Chompies in Trap Team latch onto the Skylanders, behaving similar to Crunchers, dealing continuous damage until shaken off.
In Skylanders: SuperChargers, much like Armored Chompies in other games, they have a counterpart called Bonehead Chompies.
